Case study · Ongoing design support

One designer behind a healthcare bank’s publishing.

For more than a year I’ve been the designer for Physician Growth Partners, a healthcare investment bank, across their emails, reports, white papers, LinkedIn and events.

Client

Physician Growth Partners (PGP) is a Chicago-based investment bank that advises physician groups and healthcare services companies on mergers, recapitalizations and sales. Its audience is practice owners weighing a major decision and the private equity and strategic buyers on the other side, so everything it publishes has to look like a serious firm.

The need

PGP publishes a steady stream of material: market updates by specialty, mid-year insights, white papers, deal announcements, LinkedIn content and event material. Without a designer on staff, each piece needed someone who already knew the brand and could turn work around reliably.

Approach

I work as PGP’s ongoing designer rather than on one-off projects. Because the same person designs the reports, the emails and the social posts, a market update reads the same whether a client sees it in their inbox, as a PDF or as a LinkedIn carousel.

Recurring formats are built as templates, so each new edition starts from an approved layout instead of a blank page.

Work completed

  • Market-update emails, designed and coded
  • Mid-Year Insights report and LinkedIn carousel
  • Co-branded white paper layout
  • One-pagers and infographics
  • LinkedIn carousels, company cover and deal announcements
  • Event graphics for the Annual Outing
  • A post-launch quality review of their redesigned website

Outcome

More than a year in, I’m still PGP’s designer. The work has grown from individual pieces into a consistent system across email, reports, social and events, delivered by one person who knows the brand.

A 30-minute call is usually enough to tell you how I’d approach it, what it would cost, and whether I’m the right fit. If I’m not, I’ll say so.
